KANSAS CITY, Mo. — One person died Wednesday afternoon in a multiple-vehicle crash in Independence, Missouri.
Independence Police said the crash happened about 3:40 p.m. at East 39th Street and Little Blue Parkway.
The driver of a 2011 Ford Taurus was going north on Little Blue Parkway when the driver turned into the paths of southbound vehicles, according to a police department news release.
The crash killed the Ford Taurus driver.
The driver's name has not been released.
People in a pickup truck were taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
The driver of the third vehicle was not injured, according to the news release.
