Officials say three men being chased by police abandoned their vehicle near 96th and Overhill and attempted to hide inside a relative's house.
Officials say the men were suspects in an aggravated assault. Officials attempted to stop the vehicle near 93rd and Blue Ridge at about 1:15 p.m. Sunday but they refused to pull over.
The chase wound through south Kansas City and ended when the men abandoned the car. They reportedly attempted to hide inside a house belonging to a relative of one of the suspects. Police say they discovered all three men hiding in the trunk of a car inside the house.
All three are now in custody. Officials described the men as "well-known" suspects.
Police say the suspects also caused a crash near Bannister and Overhill during the chase.
