KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A $61 million redevelopment plan is being reviewed for the Isle of Capri Casino, according to Port KC.

The Port KC Development Committee discussed on Monday the proposal by Twin River Worldwide, which recently finalized its acquisition of the casino.

TRWH “expects to substantially reposition the casino with a transformational redevelopment plan,” according to a news release.

Plans for the facility include:

  • Reskinning the existing building.
  • A new restaurant.
  • Retail options.
  • A spa.
  • An amphitheater.
  • An option for a hotel.

The goal, according to Port KC meeting documents, is to “be in a position to immediately start entitlement processes with the City of Kansas City for redevelopment.”
