84-year-old man dies from injuries in KCMO crash, police say

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — An 84-year-old man who suffered critical injuries after a crash Monday has died from his injuries, according to Kansas City, Missouri, police.

The crash occurred around 2 p.m. Monday at East 39th Street and College Avenue. According to police, a Pontiac sedan was driving eastbound when it crossed the center of the roadway and struck a Lexus SUV going westbound.

The driver of the Lexus, a Kansas City, Kansas, man, was transported to an area hospital in critical condition. Police said that he died Thursday from his injuries.

His name has not been released.
