KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Black Lives Matter murals will begin being installed at six locations across Kansas City, Missouri, organizers said Wednesday.

Last month, the Kansas City, Missouri, City Council approved the installation of six Black Lives Matter street murals.

According to organizers, those locations include:

  • 10th and Baltimore;
  • 18th and Vine;
  • 31st and Troost;
  • 63rd and Brookside Boulevard;
  • 63rd and Troost
  • NW Briarcliff Parkway and N. Mulberry Drive

The initial street mural installation will start at 6 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 5, when street barricades are put up. Mural prep and chalking will run from 7 to 11 a.m., with the community invited to participate from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Organizers said they’ll move the event to Sunday, Sept. 6, if weather is an issue on Saturday.
