KANSAS CITY, Mo. — On Tuesday, Blue Springs Mayor Carson Ross will kick off the holiday season with the 2019 Annual Mayor's Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony.
The event starts at 5:30 p.m. outside of the Blue Springs City Hall at 903 West Main Street. It is free to the public.
Mayor Ross will bring special guests to help "flip the switch" to light the tree and City Hall at 6:15 p.m. Fireworks will follow.
Once the lights are on, Santa and Mrs. Claus will stop by.
There will also be food, music from local elementary schools and craft activities for the kids inside City Hall.
