UPDATE: Authorities say Blue Springs shooting victim had wrists tied behind her back

UPDATE: The story has been updated to included charges filed by the Jackson County Prosecutor's Office.

Jose F. Hernandez, 35, is charged in the shooting of a woman police found bound at the wrists and suffering from gunshot wounds in a driveway.

Blue Springs police announced they were searching for Hernandez on Oct. 6 and took him into custody the next day.

According to a release from the Jackson County Prosecutor's Office, officers found the victim balled up in a driveway and covered in blood with her hands bound behind her back. She identified her shooter as "Jose."

She was shot twice, including once in the chest.

Witnesses say they heard gunshots and a woman screaming. They also say they saw a red car leave the area soon after. Authorities later found blood and rope found in Hernandez's room. 

Prosecutor's have requested a $300,000 bond.
