KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A bomb threat was called in to the Michael Forbes Grill in Brookside on Sunday about an hour before the restaurant was set to open.
Police said a caller reported the threat at 9:56 a.m.
Restaurant staff already was on the premises to prepare for the day. Michael Forbes Grill opens at 11:00 a.m.
A police department K9 that specialize in detecting explosives responded to the scene along with investigators and the restaurant was given the all clear shortly after 11:00 a.m.
No injuries were reported.
This was the second bomb threat in the metro in less than 24 hours.
The Walmart at 8551 Boardwalk Avenue in the Northland was evacuated after a bomb threat Saturday evening. No device was found and no injuries were reported in that incident either.
