A car crashed into two homes on Thursday afternoon and destroyed at least one room but amazingly no injuries were reported.

The crash occurred near 160th Place & Warwick Street in Olathe.

According to a witness, the car first plowed into a home on the corner and drove through a room.

"I just saw siding and everything just go," explained Chris Prather, who claimed he was driving near the car moments before the crash. "I was prepared to stop to see if he was okay but he kept going and then went through the house and I went, 'Oh my God.'"

The car then drove through a wooden fence on the property and hit the corner of a second home.

"We heard this loud boom," explained Abdou Jarra, who was inside the home with his family at the time. "The entire family was in the kitchen and my wife came running in saying, 'It's an earthquake!'"

After suddenly being thrown into terror, Jarra said he ran downstairs and made a shocking discovery.

"We came through the garage and saw the dent," he explained. "We circled back and we see a car right in the garage."

Jarra told 41 Action News that after seeing the car badly damaged, he spoke with the driver.

He said the driver was picking up pieces of debris but did not appear injured.

"The airbag did not deploy," said Jarra. "He was not bloodied. He was not limping when he got out."

With the crash happening when children were out of school and in a neighborhood home to many families, Jarra knew the accident could have been much worse.

"I thank God no one got hurt," he explained. "The rest of it, let's just call the insurance company and try to take it from here."

An investigator at the scene described the driver as being in his late 20s to early 30s.

Olathe police said the driver was questioned at the scene and does not face any charges as of Thursday night.

Medical reasons and alcohol have been ruled out as factors in the crash.
