Frustration in Belton's Cimarron Trails neighborhood has been mounting as piles of garbage continue to grow.
"It's just bags and bags full of trash that's just sitting out here," said Augie Madrigal. "I had to take some cardboard boxes out... just so we had more room in our trash cans.
Madrigal and other neighbors told 41 Action News the garbage has not been collected in over three weeks.
"Everybody's trash is everywhere and they won't pick it up and we don't know why," said Caitlin Rush.
The issue started just before Christmas when neighbors received a note saying Deffenbaugh would not be collecting the trash.
According to Deffenbaugh, a "failure of payment" forced the company to suspend all pick up.
41 Action News spoke to the Homeowners Association President who would not provide details.
He did, however, say the garbage company and neighborhood had a falling out.
In the meantime, a bulk pick up has been scheduled for Wednesday with KC Disposal as the board works to find a long-term solution.
A bulk pickup has been scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2016.
