KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Big 12 Tournament may be canceled, but games are still happening in one area of the Sprint Center.
Inside the College Basketball Experience, the competition is alive as fans take the floor.
A spokesperson for the College Basketball Experience told 41 Action News they are taking precautions but remaining open.
Celeste Lupercio said more staff are on hand to ensure the experience is setting the best standards for fans. Lupercio also said its focused on sanitizing the basketballs, handrails and other areas fans tend to lean on.
“We’ve been keeping our eye on all of the developments within the city and Big 12, and the Sports Commission, and we are going to do our best to keep the community safe and follow all the guidelines," Lupercio said. "Right now, everything seems to be going really well and we’re excited to be able to offer the fans some basketball experience of some kind, even if they can’t get into the game or even watch a game."
The College Basketball Experience will remain open to fans everyday throughout the month of March. Lupercio told 41 Action News they have no current plans to close.
