Cross-country bike relay for cancer research makes stop in Kansas City

Posted

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Bicyclists from across the country came together in Kansas City on Monday to help raise money for cancer research.

This is the fifth year that Bristol-Myers Squibb Company has launched Coast 2 Coast 4 Cancer. It’s a nearly 3,000-mile relay bike ride that starts on the West Coast to help raise money for The V Foundation, which centers on cancer research.

A group of cyclists took off from Arrowhead Stadium early Monday as part of a three-day, more than 200-mile bike ride that ends for them in Indianapolis.

The organization's goal is to raise $1 million.
