UPDATE, Jan. 28 | The FBI said they identified and located Jane Doe 43. She was not in the Kansas City area. No further information was available.

ORIGINAL STORY, Jan. 27 | The FBI is asking for help to identify a woman who may have information related to an investigation into the sexual exploitation of a child as part of Operation Rescue Me and the Endangered Child Alert Program.

According to a news release Wednesday, the FBI said “Jane Doe 43” appeared in a video with a possible child victim that “was first seen and likely created” in October 2019.

The woman is described as a white, English-speaking and probably in her 20s, with dark hair.

She “may have critical information pertaining to the identity of a child victim in an ongoing sexual exploitation investigation,” according to the FBI.

“There is no specific information to believe this individual may be residing within our area,” an FBI spokesman at the Kansas City Field Division said.

Anyone with information about the woman or child should submit a tip online or the FBI tips hotline at 1-800-CALL-FBI (225-5324).

Since the Endangered Child Alert Program started in 2004 in conjunction with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, 29 of the 43 unidentified adults investigated have been identified, leading to the identification of nearly 50 child victims.
