FedEx plans to hire 2,700 in Kansas City for holiday season

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — FedEx said Thursday that it plans to hire more employees in the Kansas City metro ahead of the holidays.

The company said it will hire more than 2,700 people at its FedEx Ground facility in Kansas City, Missouri. The positions will be frontline employees, specifically package handler positions, according to a news release.

Earlier this month, UPS announced that it would hire more than 1,400 people in Kansas City for the holiday season.
