The lot at Wornall Road and 104th Terrace has sat empty for years, but now a developer is set to build triplex units.
However, not all neighbors are on board with this project, saying that it would bring more people to the area and would add to current traffic issues.
"Traffic is already a nightmare," said neighbor Chuck Barthol.
Other neighbors in the community say the residential housing is needed in the area and aren't worried about traffic.
"The developer is adding another lane from the property to help reduce traffic," said Stacey Johnson-Cosby, who lives in the neighborhood.
A meeting will take place Wednesday afternoon at City Hall to talk about the development.
