KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A juvenile was able to escape a scary situation Friday morning in Gardner, authorities said.
Around 8 a.m., officers were called to the 500 block of North Poplar Street near Gardner Edgerton High School and the nearby Madison Elementary School on a report that a woman confronted a child on foot in the area, according to a news release from the Gardner Police Department.
The child was able to escape and board a nearby school bus, police said.
The child notified school administrators, who contacted police.
A description of the woman was not immediately available. Police said they did not believe there was any danger to the public.
