KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A 60-year-old Grain Valley man died Thursday morning in a two-vehicle crash on U.S 50 between Lee’s Summit and Lone Jack.
Lindal Kirkland was attempting to cross the westbound lanes of U.S. 50 in his 2012 Chrysler 200, turning south off Buckner-Tarsney Road shortly before 7:30 a.m. when his vehicle was struck by a pickup truck, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol Online Traffic Crash Report.
Kirkland was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the truck suffered only minor injuries and was released at the scene.
