A soccer dog named Blue! A moose-mobile! A glass of blue vodka!
Just another Friday morning at Union Station? Not quite.
This morning was special: it was the 29th Annual Greater Kansas City Day.
About 1200 volunteers spread out around our town to sell special editions of the Kansas City Star and World Champion flags.
The big winners on this blustery day are the kids who attend the Rotary Youth Camp and benefit from other children’s charities.
While that was going on, the party was humming along at Union Station.
KayCee, The “W” Guy, told us it would be all about winning again this season, while the energetic K-Crew entertained the ready-to-go fans.
There was music on stage and legendary Kansas City Chiefs and Kansas City Royals roaming the grounds.
Despite the chill, there was no better place or way to throw that First Pitch for fans and KC kids.
