KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Knapheide is adding 10-20 jobs to keep up with demand for the Plug-in Hybrid Ford F-150.

The local company is installing everything needed for the hybrid from the outlets to the trunk's battery pack.

This is the only Ford F-150 that has the plug-in.

The trucks they are working on will go across the United States for commercial use. The general manager of Knapheide said they are proud of the growth they have made as a company, now being nationally known.

"We are the industry leader in work-ready vehicles solutions. So, having this addition is huge for us. Not only from the job perspective bringing in more employees with new opportunities, but just our overall service that we have," said Mike Muller, General Manager of Knapheide.

The cost of each hybrid is an additional $25,000.
