Johnson County sees increased flu activity

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Centers for Disease Control is reporting that the most predominant strain causing the flu this season is the Influenza B virus.

The Johnson County Health Department said they are seeing the same thing.

Doctors want to remind people that it's not too late to be vaccinated against the flu. The Johnson County Health Department offers walk-in flu clinics.

Most flu shots are covered by insurance.
