Besides businesses travelers, people making an early getaway to their holiday destination packed the check-in and security lines at Kansas City International Airport on Friday.
According to Airlines for America, Dec. 18 is one of the one busiest travel days. The other two are Sunday, Jan. 3 and Sunday, Dec. 27.
The trade organization estimates 38.1 million passengers will fly on U.S. airlines. That’s an increase of more than 3 percent than last year. They attribute the increase to travelers, more people are booking flights because ticket prices are lower.
