KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City leaders are asking for your input on housing in the city.

A task force is creating a new housing plan to guide the city’s priorities over the next five years.

The last time the city updated its housing plan was over a decade ago.

“That’s really a major initiative of ours, repopulating the urban core and repopulating the older neighborhoods,” said John Wood with the city’s neighborhood and housing services department. Without “pricing people who currently live there.”

The policy will look at everything from evictions to affordable rent to vacant homes.
