KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City Zoo has more goats.

The zoo announced Friday morning that five new goats have been born since Saturday, March 30.

One goat, Gretel, gave birth to twins — a boy and a girl — and Poppy, another goat, gave birth to triplets, two boys and one girl.

The zoo said Gretel and Poppy have their hooves full but are adjusting to the new additions.

For Poppy’s triplets, the zoo is asking for the public’s help in naming the two boys and one girl.

Some suggestions from the zookeepers:

  • Finn, Poe, Rey (Star Wars)
  • Popcorn, Crackerjack, Peanut (caramel-colored foods)
  • Popeye, Oscar, Olive (Popeye)
  • Chief, Royal, Maverick (KC sports teams)
  • Mo, Larry, Curly (The Three Stooges)
  • Bernard, Rufus, Penny (The Rescuers)
  • Albus, Aberforth, Ariana (Harry Potter)
  • Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman (DC Comics characters)
  • Mario, Luigi, Bowser (Mario Brothers)
  • Johnny, Cash, June (of country music fame)

The public can vote on the winning trio of names on the zoo’s website through the end of the weekend. The zoo will announce the winning names on April 7.
