Mosher was 37 and had served with the Overland Park Police Department for more than a decade.
Mosher's funeral will be held May 13, according to an official with the City of Overland Park.
His death was the first for the department since 1985, when Deanna Rose was run over by a drunk driving suspect she stopped on Jan. 24, 1985. She died two days later.
