KCK resident shoots, kills burglary suspect

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A resident in a home in the 1900 block of Minnesota Avenue reportedly shot and killed a burglary suspect Saturday morning.

Police were called to the scene just after 1 a.m. Saturday on a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers located a male who had been shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Preliminary investigation suggested that during an aggravated burglary of a residence, an occupant of the home confronted and shot the suspect.

The investigation continues, and no other details have been released.
