KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas basketball fans lined up at Eustons Hardware in Prairie Village to see Jayhawks legend Sherron Collins.
Collins joined author Chris Meggs for a special holiday book signing for children's book "Twas the Night Before Tipoff."
The former Jayhawks guard said the book will help his own daughter better understand his contribution to KU basketball, “My daughter hears a lot of how good I was in school and she just doesn’t know so she comes home with a bunch of questions, so I think this will give her a little bit of insight on some things and she always ask questions about the Field House and the history so this will be a good book. I’ll read it to her tonight.”
Author Chris Meggs explained the book is a good introduction for anyone trying to get a better understanding of KU basketball, “This is a real good starting point for KU Basketball because I tried to cover all the decades. All the eras, got all the coaches in there. A lot of the famous well known players from each generation."
