KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Voters in Lee's Summit have elected City Councilmember Beto Lopez as the city's next mayor.
Lopez defeated Cynda Rader, another Lee’s Summit City Council member, 56.22% to 43.45%.
Lopez will replace the term-limited Bill Baird, who recently announced his candidacy for Jackson County executive.
