KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Olathe Fire Department confirmed an overnight fire was caused by lightning.
Firefighters were called to a home at 163rd Street and Summertree Lane around midnight.
Officials said lightning struck the home, starting the fire.
The damage to the home is significant.
No one was hurt.
Two residents will have to stay somewhere else for now.
Firefighters remained on scene for a time to put out hot spots and salvage whatever property they could.
