Parents in the Kansas City metro who are on the prowl for Hatchimals need patience and good timing to purchase the popular toy.
The Hatchimal craze has parents throughout the country paying double or standing in line for hours.
Jessica Higgins stood in line at a metro Target to buy the popular Christmas toy for her granddaughter.
"I've never stood in line at 4 in the morning for a toy," said Higgins.

41 Action News reached out to Spin Masters, Hatchimals' parent company, via telephone, email and Twitter to find out if it could increase production on the toy and send more to metro stores.
No one with the company replied to 41 Action News' inquiries, but the Hatchimals website has a pop-up informing customers of its inventory shortage. The pop-up reads in part:
"We have increased production and a whole new batch of Hatchimals will be ready to hatch in early 2017."
The company will continue shipping their limited supply of inventory to stores throughout the nation through December.
