KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A Linwood, Kansas, man was sentenced Wednesday to 67 months in prison for attempted rape and aggravated endangering of a child.
Galen Hurt, 77, entered a plea Sept. 24, after the Leavenworth County Attorney’s Office gathered input from family members.
The conviction, according to the county attorney’s office, stemmed from contact in May 2018 with a 4-year-old girl.
The girl’s family spoke at the sentencing hearing. The girl did not testify.
