KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Melissa McCarthy may have to mind her P's and Q's on the Sunday, March 1, episode of "Little Big Shots" if she doesn't want to get a citation from a "local law enforcement officer" and his K-9 partner.

Officer Oliver Davis and his K-9 Ruby will appear as a guest on the NBC show.

Oliver, 8, already has several years of service under his belt.

His passion for police work began when he got a pint-sized uniform for Christmas one year, his mother, Brandi Davis, told 41 Action News in October 2016.

Since then, he's made it his mission to perform acts of kindness.

In October 2017, he and fellow officer Morea Cummings set up a doughnut and lemonade stand to thank local law enforcement officers for their service.

Two years later, "Officer Oliver" set up another lemonade stand, this time to raise money for the tribute stones for fallen heroes.

“They risked their lives for us and our community," Oliver said at the time. "Their memories have to live on.”

"Little Big Shots," which airs at 7 p.m. on Sunday night on 41 Action News, "celebrates a new generation of remarkable young people," like Oliver, according to NBC.

Davis said filming the show was a great experience for Oliver.

"It was a amazing experience," she said. "Melissa McCarthy was so awesome with him and he had a great time. The best part was getting to take his K-9 Ruby with him to be on the show."

McCarthy hosts the show in addition to executive producing with Ellen DeGeneres and Ben Falcone.
