Local officers, McDonald’s Donut Sticks on tap for ‘Coffee With a Cop’ this week

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Four local police departments have organized special “Coffee With a Cop” events at area McDonald’s restaurants in celebration of the fast-food chain’s release of a new breakfast item.

McDonald’s new Donut Sticks will be featured at the events, where community members can meet with law enforcement officers in an informal setting to enjoy coffee and donuts.

There will be four gatherings from 8 to 9 a.m. Monday at the following locations:

6830 NW 83rd Terrace, Kansas City, Missouri

5347 Independence Ave., Kansas City, Missouri

6406 Troost Ave., Kansas City, Missouri

918 S. Missouri 291, Liberty, Missouri

There also will be events from 8 to 9 a.m. Tuesday at 1225 S. Noland Road in Independence, Missouri, and from 8 to 9 a.m. Wednesday at 311 E. Young St. in Warrensburg, Missouri.

Area residents are invited to join officers at any of the listed locations for discussions about community issues and relationship-building.
