KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City area residents might notice a few familiar places in a commercial set to air during the Super Bowl.

A commercial for Head & Shoulders will feature Nancy Kerr, owner of KC Weddings 2 Go in Independence, Missouri. Kerr performs wedding ceremonies out of her van in locations across the Kansas City area.

“These are the most headstrong business people in America, and Head & Shoulders is going to give them a Super Bowl commercial,” a teaser for the commercial says.

In an interview on 41 Action News Wednesday, Kerr said that when she first got the call to be in the commercial, she couldn’t believe it.

“Head & Shoulders reached out to me, and at first I wasn’t really believing,” she said. “Then we had a few more phone calls and a Skype call, and it just materialized very quickly.”

Kerr said that the commercial took about 15 hours to shoot.

Parts of the Super Bowl commercial were filmed at businesses on the Independence Square, including Up Dog, Courthouse Exchange, Direct Casket Outlet, Jones Taxidermy and Shop N Pawn, according to a news release.

The teaser also shows a clip shot outside the El Jefe Tire Shop off 40 Highway near Sterling Avenue in Independence.

The Super Bowl commercial isn't Kerr's first claim to fame. She also officiated the wedding ceremony for Kansas City Royals catcher Salvador Perez and his wife.

Despite the success she’s had with her business, Kerr stays humble. She said she tries to make each ceremony special for the couple she’s marrying.

“They like it that I’ll customize it to fit each wedding. There’s similarities in every wedding, but then there’s always differences that make each wedding unique,” she said.

Smash Therapy in Houston and Get Your Goat Rentals in Atlanta will also be featured in commercials in those cities.

The Super Bowl kicks off at 5:30 p.m. Sunday on CBS.
