Donation boxes outside of the Lowe's on West 133rd Street may be getting towed at the expense of the charities.
A Lowe's manager says none of the charities with boxes in the store's parking lot got permission to be there.
Earlier this week, trespassing notices were placed on all of the donation boxes.
The notices say if the boxes are not moved by December 19th, they will be towed at the owner's expense.
The trespassing notice from Lowe's states the store's property is only for staff, customers, and authorized vendors only.
Calls from the charities with donation boxes have not been returned.
