KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A Paola man died in a one-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon in Miami County.
Deputies with the Miami County Sheriff’s Office responded shortly before 4:30 p.m. to check on a vehicle off the road near West 303rd Street and Lone Star Road in rural Paola, according to a release from the sheriff’s office.
A truck was found in high grass in a ditch with extensive damage at that location. The man was found pinned under the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
There is no foul play suspected and the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office is assisting with the investigation.
The Miami County Sheriff's Office on Friday identified the man as Lucas J. Wobker, 40 of Paola.
