One man is in custody after police responded to a non-residential burglary on Saturday around 7 p.m.
When officers arrived to the 10300 block of northeast Pine Grove Drive, the front glass door was broke and the K-9 Unit began searching for the intruder.
Police found the man in the restroom, where he reportedly consumed a bottle and a half of hand sanitizer.
According to police, the man refused medical treatment at the scene and was transported to Shoal Creek for booking.
Hand sanitizer products contain a stronger concentration of alcohol than beer, wine and most hard liquors. Consuming hand sanitizer can lead to alcohol poisoning or even death, according to a report by the New York Times.
