KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A man was seriously injured and a dog died after a car struck them in Overland Park, Kansas.
The crash happened some time between 5:30 a.m. and 6 a.m. as the man was jogging with his dog near Blue Valley Parkway and West 123rd Street.
Police said the man was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The dog died at the scene.
