A Google Fiber outage was issued for the entire Kansas City metro area on Friday.
Officials told 41 Action News the outage began around 1 a.m. Service for most of the coverage area was restored around 8 a.m., according to Google Fiber.
About 540 people were impacted by the outage, but Google Fiber will not disclose the total number of people with the service in the Kansas City area.
Google Fiber listed 'weather conditions' as a result of the outage, but Kansas City has not experienced severe weather within the last 24 hours.
Crews were the ground in the metro addressing the problem and said it should be solved 'within a couple of hours.'
