KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Relief is on the way for residents of Englewood Apartments in Kansas City's Northland.

Many residents at Englewood have been complaining for years that the apartments have leaking roofs and are riddled with mold.

Ohio-based, Millennia Housing Management, owns Englewood Apartments. Millennia executives announced that in February 2019, they'll start construction on a nearly $10 million renovation of those apartments.

Millennia Housing Management developer Arthur Krauer said that on Nov. 1, Millennia secured the federal tax credits which will help them secure $5-million of the estimated almost $10-million cost of the renovations at Englewood.

The federal tax credits will be funneled through state agencies to the Millennia Corporation.
