KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Top dog names so far in 2018 have included Bella, Luca, Max or Coco.
For the University of Kansas Public Safety office, none of those would do.
After receiving more than 5,300 entries in a naming competition, KU Public Safety’s new K-9 explosive-detection dog will be named “Phog.”

Phog beat out other gems such as Hawk, Cheddar and Champ.
