KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A suspect wanted in a robbery Thursday in Kansas City, Kansas was shot by police.
Just after 6 p.m., officers were called out to the CVS Pharmacy at 3750 State Avenue on an armed robbery call.
Kansas City, Kansas Police Chief Terry Zeigler tweeted about the incident around 6:30 p.m.

According to Zeigler, the suspect came out of the store firing at officers.
Officers returned fire, striking the suspect.
No officers were injured.
The suspect was taken to a nearby hospital. The extent of injuries was not immediately available.
