An investigation is underway after deputies, responding to the sound of shots discovered a house fire and a man's body inside.
Sheriff's officers were called to the home in the 1100 block of E 1200 Road shortly after 9:00 p.m. Friday to a reported sound of shots and house fire.
Upon arrival deputies discovered the fire and were unable to enter the home. As fire crews extinguished the fire a man's body was found inside. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause of death, and the cause of the fire have not yet been determined.
Some sections of roads in the 1000 block of E1200, and the 1200 block of N 1100 were closed while the investigation is underway.
