KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Olathe police said reports of a shooting near downtown Saturday night were unsubstantiated.

Police said officers were made aware of a disturbance near the 100 block of North Kansas Avenue.

There were reports of shots fired in the area.

Officers who were working the Old Settlers festival and on-duty patrol officers went to the scene to investigate.

They found the reports of a shooting to be unfounded, police said Sunday.

They did find a woman who was injured in a fall.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Olathe Police Department at 913-971-7500 or the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-8477.
