KANSAS CITY, Mo. — One man was killed in a head-on crash in Platte County on Wednesday morning, officials said.
The crash happened just before 8:25 a.m. on Missouri 45 south of Missouri 45 Spur in unincorporated Platte County, according to the Sheriff's Office.
A 30-year-old Winchester, Kansas, man was driving a Dodge Dakota southbound on Missouri 45 when the vehicle crossed the center line and struck a Volvo SUV head-on.
The driver of the Dodge, who has not been identified, died at the scene, the Sheriff's Office said. A 39-year-old woman who was in the Dodge and a 40-year-old man who was driving the Volvo were both transported to an area hospital for treatment.
The crash is being investigated by the Platte County Sheriff's Office Crash Team.
