KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The City of Overland Park Finance, Administration and Economic Development Committee will go over how to spend more than $1 million to stop drug and alcohol abuse at their meeting Wednesday.
The city expects to have $1.1 million in 2020 from special alcohol funds.
Part of the sales tax residents pay on alcohol goes toward the initiative.
The money will go to agencies and programs that teach people about drug and alcohol abuse or to those that treat addiction.
