KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Overland Park police on Friday shared a graphic video showing a crash that injuredfour young girls on their way to elementary school.
Police Chief Frank Donchez, who shared the video in a tweet, said the most seriously injured student had been upgraded to stable condition on Friday morning.

The video shows the crash, which occurred around 7:30 a.m. Thursday when a car turning left at West 87th and Grant streets was hit by a vehicle going through a red light.
The car that ran the red light then hit four elementary-aged girls standing on the sidewalk, police said. The girls were on their way to Pawnee Elementary School.
A third vehicle also crashed into the car trying to turn left at the intersection.
Citations are pending in connection with the crash, and a red light violation could be expected, according to a police spokesman. Distracted driving had not been confirmed by late Thursday.
