KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A Parkville woman has been sentenced to life in prison without parole after being found guilty of killing her ex-husband.

Letti Strait was sentenced on Tuesday with an appeal bond set at $2 million cash only in the 2007 killing of Charles Cammisano.

A news release from the Platte County prosecuting attorney's office stated that Cammisano was “found shot to death inside his Riverside home,” with his body covered by a blanket.

Letti Strait was indicted in December 2014 and had remained in custody at the Platte County Detention Center.

She was found guilty in February, while her husband, Terry Strait, pleaded guilty in July 2016 to conspiracy to commit first-degree murder.
