Update as of 5:15 p.m. on Aug. 12: The vehicle involved in the hit-and-run was located by police, but the driver still has not been located.
Previous: A pedestrian was critically injured in a hit-and-run incident that happened at Linwood Boulevard and Van Brunt Boulevard Sunday evening.
According to Kansas City, Missouri, Police, the pedestrian was crossing the northbound lanes of Van Brunt Boulevard outside of a crosswalk around 5 p.m. when a northbound vehicle struck them and left the scene.
The pedestrian was taken to the hospital with critical injuries.
Police have photos of the vehicle responsible for the accident. If anyone recognizes the person or vehicle involved, please call police.
