Police are investigating a robbery at a Kansas City convenience store for the second time in a matter of weeks.

Just after 11 p.m. Wednesday, police were dispatched to the 4200 block of North Oak Trafficway in regard to an armed robbery.

When officers arrived, they contacted the person who called police. The person said a man wearing all black clothing came into the gas station threatening to use a gun if money from the cash register wasn't handed over.

Police said the suspect took cash and left the store on foot, and there were no injuries.

Thursday morning wasn't the first time the store was targeted.

Last week, police told 41 Action News the same store had been robbed in a crime ring that included 21 armed robberies. Two of those suspects are in custody. Police killed a third in a shooting after the suspects robbed a Blue Springs Walgreens last week.

Police said surveillance video at Pour Boys caught a car in the parking lot "casing" the area. Police tracked the car to the Walgreens crime.

It's unknown if the two events are connected at all.

Anyone with information should call police.
