Police investigating after dog bites child in Overland Park

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. -- Police are looking for the owners of a dog that reportedly bit a child at the Bluejacket Pool and Park area Saturday afternoon. 

According to the Overland Park Police Department, the child was in the park at 10100 Bond St. just before 2 p.m. when a dog got loose from two women and bit the child. 

The dog is described as a black short-haired Boxer-type canine. Both women were described as white with dark brown hair. One was wearing a dark red shirt with black pants, and the other was wearing light blue pants. 

The women also had a young child or baby with them.
